Farm & Home Supply was founded by Ferd Herres in 1946. The 1915 building at 643 Main Street in Pomeroy, Washington has been our home since 1960. As the business and the size of machinery grew, we have built additional shop space to better serve our customers. Today we offer sales, service, repairs and parts for a wide range of agriculture equipment and vehicles.

Whether selling or servicing trucks or farm machinery, Farm & Home Supply has shown dedication to serving the farming community that we’re a part of. We were a Chevrolet dealership from 1960 to 2010 and continue to sell, service and repair used vehicles. We are also an AC Delco dealer. Farm & Home Supply is a long time farm implement dealership becoming a Case IH dealer in 1953.
In addition to sales, service, repairs and parts for Case IH Tractors & combines, we also sell, service, repair and offer parts for Great Plains farm tillage equipment, Kioti tractors, and Schulte farm equipment.
Experience To Do The Job Right
After earning a bachelor’s of science degree in agriculture from Washington State University, Tom Herres joined his uncle’s company in 1971 fresh out of college as a mechanic and service employee. Tom’s mechanization and farm economics studies in college, as well as his experience working on armored vehicles during a two-year stint in military school, left him well positioned to work in his uncle’s business. Tom would eventually acquire Farm & Home Supply, Inc in 1999 and bring his son Reed aboard to help run the business.
A farmer of several hundred acres himself, Tom knows about the farm equipment and parts he sells. The Herres family, in fact, has a long history of farming in Washington. In addition to Tom’s grandfather, Mike Herres, homesteading early on in Peola, Washington, several generations of Herres’ also farmed in Washington’s Garfield County.
